A Korean star is set to marry his non-celebrity girlfriend who is nine years younger. Upon announcing the wedding, he humorously said that if he ever misses the “freedom of being single,” he would look at the Statue of Liberty.
According to media reports on November 5th, comedian Kim Dong Ha will hold the wedding ceremony sometime this month at a location in Seoul and join the ranks of married men.
The bride-to-be is a non-celebrity nine years younger than Kim Dong Ha. The ceremony will be private, attended only by family and close friends.
Kim Dong Ha also personally announced the news of his marriage on his social media. He said, “Everyone, I’m leaving behind the single life. I’m getting married,” sharing the news with his characteristic humor. He added, “This is something I achieved thanks to all the love you’ve given me. I am truly grateful,” expressing gratitude to his fans.
He also showed affection for his fiancée, introducing her as “a friend who lives an ordinary life no different from that of anyone else in our country.” He expressed thanks to her for deciding to share life with him.
