Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-joon re-open A Shop for Killers

The doors are opening again for Disney+’s action thriller A Shop for Killers in a brand new second season. Reprising their roles, Lee Dong-wook (The Nice Guy) and Kim Hye-joon (Cashero) are back as uncle and niece along with a handful of familiar faces as well as new enemies.
In the first season, Jung Ji-ahn (Kim Hye-joon) inherited the shopping mall “Murthehelp” from her uncle Jung Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook) after his passing and went through quite the ordeal. However, Jin-man was alive the entire time, and now he has returned, welcoming Ji-ahn to his world as they face a new faction of mercenaries coming for their heads.
The newest trailer gives a quick peek at what is to come, teasing the potential enemies our shop owners will have to fight. With the mystery out of the way, it is now officially killer business time, and first on the list is season one bad guy Bale, played by Jo Han-seon (A Shop for Killers). Also returning to season 2 are Geum Hae-na (A Shop for Killers) as So Min-hye, Kim Min (The Manipulated) as Pasin, and Lee Tae-young (Heroes Next Door) as Brother.
Stepping into the role of Babylon’s global mercenaries are Jung Yoon-ha (The Trunk), Hyunri (Can This Love Be Translated?), and Masaki Okada (Tagusari Brothers). As expected, be prepared for plenty of explosions, guns, and blood — there’s even a bazooka — and if my eyes did not deceive me, killer robots! While the upcoming challenges look tough, our shop owners are not afraid to fight, and Ji-ahn looks calm and collected as she struts with her crew to face whatever enemy lies ahead.
Behind the camera, PD Lee Kwon returns for the second season as both the director and writer alongside screenwriter Ji Ho-jin (Newtopia). Disney+’s A Shop for Killers Season 2 premieres in July of this year.
