Splitting up and splitting seams, KBS’s upcoming Okay Let’s Divorce (roughly translated) has officially kicked off promos with our unhappily married two leads – Lee Min-jung (Once Again) and Kim Ji-suk (New Recruit 2) – in the romance drama’s first poster as well as script reading stills.
Most divorces are of course messy, but it’s a tricky and ironic situation for Baek Mi-young (Lee Min-jung) and Ji Won-ho (Kim Ji-suk), who have to settle matters beyond their 7-year marriage and household. The two, you see, are also co-founders and joint CEOs of their own business. And it’s a fairly well known wedding dress brand, that has Won-ho himself in the position of head designer.
Their relationship will then be further tested as our story’s love square takes the stage. In one corner, we have the re-appearance of Mi-young’s ex-boyfriend and hotel CEO Lee Hyun-jin (Gold Mask). And in another, we have the self-made photographer Lee Jini (The Dream Life of Mr. Kim) who finds herself catching feelings for Won-ho.
In supportive roles, Won-ho is flanked by his bestie and the company vice president Jung Eui-je (Siren’s Kiss) in addition to his divorce lawyer Ahn Nae-sang (Fifties Professionals).
And across no man’s land, company director and college friend Song Ah-ri Wang Bit-na (Crushology 101) stands by our heroine’s side, along with Mi-young’s divorce lawyer Oh Yeon-ah (Walking on Thin Ice).
Directed by PD Joo Sung-woo (Man in the Kitchen) with writing by Hwang Ji-eon, KBS’s upcoming Okay Let’s Divorce is slated to premiere this month on August 19, and will be broadcasting in the Wednesday-Thursday slot.
