An agency’s investigation into multiple girl group members has resulted in a permanently changed lineup.

Ayaka, Mio, and Nico are members of W.Double V, an eight-member J-Pop idol girl group under Mint Music ENTERTAINMENT. On May 14, the agency released two statements, one regarding Mio and Nico, and the other regarding Ayaka.
The agency said that after investigating undisclosed information that was spread online about Mio, they determined that she had not committed any misconduct.

As for Nico, the matter in question had already been resolved more than a year ago, through discussions with the group’s members and management. As such, both idols will continue their idol activities.

On the other hand, the agency has put an immediate stop to Ayaka’s activities, and she has, as of May 14, been removed from W.Double V. Mint Music ENTERTAINMENT stated that Ayaka had violated her contract, and that the contract violation was connected to her group activities, but specific details weren’t disclosed in the statement.
In her own statement, Ayaka apologized for her careless actions, which troubled the group, staff, and fans. She acknowledged spreading inaccurate details about fellow members that caused misunderstandings and expressed regret for betraying supporters after four years of activity. Previously, Ayaka was accused of spreading false claims about her members, including that Nico had inappropriate or hidden ties to fans and/or staff members.
