A male idol’s aggressive confrontation of “sasaeng” fans has massively divided the internet.
The idol in question is Yu Yuhan, a Chinese singer who was originally chosen to be a member of a boy group named T.O.P., but had to withdraw due to a false controversy. He later debuted as a soloist.

The viral video in question showed the 20-year-old idol getting out of his car, enraged, and swinging his fist at a fan standing amid a crowd surrounding him. He ended up knocking her phone away, but didn’t hit her.

According to reports, the person that Yuhan confronted was repeatedly yanking at the car door while the vehicle was still moving, only to shove a camera in the idol’s face to film him. That dangerous act apparently broke Yuhan’s patience, causing him to lash out.
Despite this confrontation, fans reportedly refused to leave, and kept crowding around his car.
The video, which has racked up over 6 million views on X (formerly Twitter) alone, has drawn massively divided reaction from netizens. Some felt that Yuhan’s response was justified, and even necessary, given the extent to which sasaeng fans can go for a simple photo.
yuhan has literally been chased by sasaengs since he was in middle school, they followed them to their dorms literally everywhere. they also tried to ruin his life, personally i don’t think he was harsh enough https://t.co/ioc2wARcVi

Getting my car door open when it’s already moving, Jumping to the front of the car and getting my arms pulled trying to drag me out of the car just so they can film him
Getting beaten only, Yuhan is still merciful after all he’s a Good Guy and most of the time is a Softy https://t.co/Uht7dWuiyd

However, some netizens felt that the aggressive confrontation was probably not the best course of action.
no matter what the reason, I will never support a man pulling violence on a woman. there are other ways to deal with this matter https://t.co/M7TLID9v0v

Idk how to feel about this
No man should beat a woman like that and no woman should be stalking and harassing an artist like that https://t.co/vsk7Tl8oaf
