Lee Jae Wook, who is currently appearing in the Disney+ K-Drama Doctor On The Edge, is set to make his debut in a whole different career.

On June 10 (KST), Lee’s agency announced that he would officially be debuting as a singer with the single, “Shadow.”
The song is described as a track that captures the emotions of being unable to move on from the lingering traces of past lost. It was co-produced by 2AM member Lim Seul Ong.

While it is highly unexpected for an actor to pivot to a new entertainment career in the midst of appearing in an ongoing project, it is all the more perplexing in Lee Jae Wook’s case, since he is currently in the military, serving his mandatory enlistment period.
Lee enlisted for active duty military service on May 18 (KST). He filmed Doctor On The Edge before his enlistment, and also apparently prepared “Shadow” as a gift for his fans. The news has drawn mixed reactions, with some confused about the decision and others welcoming it with cheeky jokes.
