A popular Korean actress has expressed regret over a statement she made on You Quiz on the Block three years ago.
On the 14th, tvN‘s You Quiz on the Block released a video featuring Lim Ji Yeon.
In the video, Yoo Jae Suk began by saying, “When Lim Ji Yeon appeared on You Quiz three years ago, she said, ‘I want to age stylishly and quickly.’”
After gaining great popularity with the dramas The Glory and Lies Hidden in My Garden, Lim Ji Yeon appeared on You Quiz on the Block in 2023 and expressed, “I want to be an actor whose wrinkles look cool as I age. I want to age stylishly and quickly.”
Recalling that statement, Lim Ji Yeon said, “I don’t know why I said that. It’s happening too fast,” and honestly shared, “I said I wanted to age beautifully and quickly, but now I really want to age slowly.” She added, “It’s so fast now that I’m scared.”
She also joked with a completely changed attitude, “I hope next year doesn’t come. My birthday is soon, but I hope it doesn’t come. Birthdays aren’t welcome anymore.”
In response, Yoo Jae Suk said, “In the past, when I asked seniors, ‘If it’s not rude, how old are you this year?’ some would say, ‘Why would you ask that, you?’ or ‘I’ve long forgotten my age,’” adding, “But now that I’ve reached this age, I understand why they said that,” expressing deep empathy.
