Recently, it was announced that UNIS would disband.

UNIS debuted in March 2024 following the survival show Universe League, making history as the first K-Pop group with a Filipino line. On September 21, 2026, it was announced that the group would return with the digital single “Milky Way,” which served as their final release before disbandment.
Being a multinational group, several members are expected to leave Korea, at least temporarily while working on their next steps. This includes the group’s center, Gehlee, a member of the group’s Filipino line.

Gehlee has been announced be returning to the Philippines to begin her career there, and will be affiliated with Universal Records, GLXY Talent Management and Star Horizon TV. On September 29, the idol arrived at Incheon Airport travel to the Philippines, the final time for fans to see her for the indefinite future.
Fans were able to greet the idol, who interacted with them as she prepared for her flight.

One fan, seemingly someone the idol was familiar with, even got two hugs from Gehlee as she told them goodbye.
