Shin Hye-sun starts Filing for Love with Gong Myung
by solstices
First she crafted fakes in The Art of Sarah, and now she’s catching false facades in tvN’s Filing for Love. Shin Hye-sun takes charge of our screens again as the sharp-eyed auditor Joo In-ah, whose cutthroat professionalism and no-nonsense disposition have the rest of the office quaking in their boots.
Turning this drama into an office rom-com is Gong Myung (Mercy for None) as Noh Ki-joon, the former auditing ace who gets unceremoniously demoted to In-ah’s PM team. In English, that’d basically be the OI team for “Office Indecency” — in other words, catching employees doing naughty deeds in the office. Needless to say, Ki-joon is dismayed. What a fall from grace!
Then again, perhaps Ki-joon’s shriek of dismay is warranted, when PM duties involve an employee that pulls down his own pants in the middle of the crowded office. Ki-joon can’t comprehend why he has to deal with such headache-inducing cases, but In-ah sets him straight — is he going to keep doing his job so half-heartedly?
With that, our unlikely duo throw themselves headfirst into sleuthing, sniffing out the traces of inappropriate behavior. Sometimes that involves putting on undercover personas, and sometimes it quite literally means getting down and dirty in the countryside. Which leads to Ki-joon getting poop stuck on his tie. Oops. As our auditing pair progress through their cases, they gradually become real partners in crime-catching… and perhaps even more?
We still don’t get to see Kim Jae-wook (To My Beloved Thief) and Hong Hwa-yeon (The Price of Confession) in the teaser yet, but they’ll round out our main cast. Helmed by PD Lee Soo-hyun (My Dearest Nemesis) with scriptwriting by Yeo Eun-ho (Crash Course in Romance), Filing for Love is slated for an April 25 premiere.
