Red Velvet’s Yeri has left fans amused after sharing the hilarious story behind her newest passport photo, as well as the unexpected reason she ended up taking it completely bare-faced.
During a recent conversation with fans, Yeri revealed that she thought she had lost her passport ahead of potential overseas travel plans in early July. After searching everywhere and failing to find it, the idol began to panic. With the passport office closing at 6, Yeri rushed there just before closing time to apply for a replacement.
Because she was in such a hurry, Yeri didn’t have time to put on makeup or prepare herself before taking the required ID photo. As a result, she ended up taking an official passport photo completely bare-faced. She sent a photo of the ID picture to fans.
With her clear skin and gorgeous features, it looks like makeup isn’t even a problem for the star.
The story became even funnier when Yeri revealed what happened next. After successfully applying for a new passport, she somehow managed to find the original one she had been desperately searching for.

“There’s something totally funny yet dumbfounding that happened to me a while ago. I was looking for my passport as I might need it early July, but it was nowhere to be found. I was like, it’s an emergency, I’m screwed, what to do, etc, and I was embarrassed but I contacted my company about it. They couldn’t find it either, so I was beginning to panic. The city hall closes at 6, and I reached there at 5. I was in a hurry so I took an ID picture barefaced and made the passport again. But I found the passport in the airplane when I was going to Jeju this time. Guess where it was? In my headphone pouch.”
Fans pointed out that despite Yeri’s embarrassment, the photo looked completely normal.
