Song Kang plus Lee Jun-young equals Four Hands Two Sonatas

The sweet buds of romance friendship have taken seed in tvN’s Four Hands Two Sonatas, but the still-green fruit – when our leads reunite 10 years later – is bitter with jealousy and angst for Song Kang (Sweet Home 3) and Lee Jun-young (Reborn Rookie) in the latest video teaser, posters, and stills.
Piano and music is what first brought Kang Bi-oh (Song Kang) and Choi Jung-yo (Lee Jun-young) together at their arts high school, at the young age of 17. With one taking charge of the pedal and the other the sheet music, the two built trust in each other through their song and bared their souls in an outstanding duet performance. But their friendship is soon fractured.
Although the golden boy Bi-oh is heralded as a genius, he continues to fall short of his snooty family’s expectations and mom Yoon Se-ah (Love Me) is furious that the dark horse Jung-yo ‟stole” the spotlight from her son. Bi-oh’s resentment is then further fueled when his hard-to-please grandfather and world-renown conductor Jung Jin-young (The Apartment Job) is impressed by Jung-yo’s raw talent.
Being unaware of Bi-oh’s emotional state, Jung-yo then becomes upset when Bi-oh starts avoiding him without explanation. And together with the third lead, violist Jang Gyuri (When the Phone Rings), our story will then take us through 10 years to the present day as the coming-of-age characters grow to adulthood.
Broadcasting on weekends starting on August 29, tvN’s Four Hands Two Sonatas will be following Spooky in Love. Production for the series has PD Park Hyun-seok (Song of the Bandits, Forest of Secrets 2) at the helm with writing by Shin Yi-won (Don’t Call Me Ma’am).
