A former top girl group member has drawn significant backlash after revealing her bare face on camera.
The idol in question is Shoo (also known by her real name, Yoo Sooyoung) from the first-generation girl group, S.E.S.

Recently, Shoo made a guest appearance in a video posted by fashion influencer Pop Daddy. The idol appeared completely bare-faced in the video, sitting in the driver’s seat of her car.
Her no-makeup appearance brought back her month-old social media post to public attention, where she announced that her goal was to work hard on both her skincare and exercise. She noted that she was always complimented for maintaining healthy skin despite her busy schedule, and that her goal was to maintain the same look for the next twenty years.

Previously, the idol had drawn attention after appearing on Channel A‘s Beauty Clinic: Touch Me, where she confessed that she was dealing with sagging skin and wrinkles. She was given a customized three-step solution to restore her skin barrier. The idol also actively put in effort to correct her bad lifestyle habits while undergoing the treatments for a month.
Despite her efforts, Shoo’s bare-faced appearance seems to have failed to impress most netizens. Her video has been flooded with criticism from online communities. Some even compared her face to that of the infamous “Electric Fan Lady,” whose face was ruined by repeated illegal plastic surgeries.
