Actor Ryu Seung Bum has reportedly been fined after repeatedly violating bus-only lane regulations while driving a company vehicle.
According to reports, Ryu Seung Bum personally drove a company-owned Kia Carnival during filming for Netflix movie Good News and allegedly used bus-only lanes multiple times while traveling to filming locations.
As a result, his agency reportedly received fines totaling several hundred thousand won. Under Korean traffic law, regular passenger vehicles are generally not permitted to use bus-only lanes unless certain occupancy requirements are met. In the case of vehicles with nine or more seats, at least six passengers must be present to qualify.
Reports stated that the vehicle Ryu Seung Bum drove was a 7-seater Carnival, which does not qualify for bus-lane use under the rules. Sources also claimed that although Ryu Seung Bum had a manager assigned at the time, he frequently drove himself without staff accompanying him.
The actor, who has been splitting time between Korea and Slovakia following his marriage, reportedly does not own a personal vehicle in Korea and relies on company transportation for both work and personal schedules.
Meanwhile, Ryu Seung Bum recently concluded his exclusive contract with Y One Entertainment and is currently finishing filming for Netflix series Dealer.
