Fans previously suspected the mysterious credit belonged to Soyeon after noticing changes in the album’s production lineup and pointing out stylistic similarities in the music. Online theories gained traction, especially after listeners connected the alias to the track title “mono,” with changes in the production credits, Fans began digging into the listed contributors with online posts pointing out that “icebluerabbit” appears as a new writer, sparking theories about who could be behind the name. This was one of their first tracks without Soyeon’s contribution.
One widely shared theory suggests the alias could be Soyeon using a pseudonym. Fans cited stylistic similarities in composition, lyrical tone, and overall musical direction as reasons for the speculation. Furthermore, the song itself talks about stripping away all bias, which reflects the use of a pseudonym.
The speculation was officially put to rest when Soyeon revealed the truth during the group’s concert on February 21. LED panels with the name icebluerabbit were showed as Soyeon took the stage.

I don’t think I can sleep because of how goosebumps-inducing this is. I guess Soyeon is really icebluerabbit. There were always malicious comments about i-dle’s music because Soyeon has been writing them. There were some comments that said “mono” was good because Soyeon didn’t contribute to it. It seems like this was all just a big social experiment with thoughtless malicious commenters as the target.
