ILLIT has directly addressed the controversy over their alleged policewoman sexualization outfit.
On the afternoon of October 26th, the media showcase for ILLIT’s 5th mini-album BREAK EVEN took place at Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Seoul.
ILLIT’s title track “You’re Under Arrest” an electro-pop song characterized by a catchy hook. The whistle sound that appears throughout the song creates a powerful addictive effect and boosts explosive energy.
ILLIT first revealed the “You’re Under Arrest” stage at the encore concert PRESS START held at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 17th and 18th, drawing attention.
However, the costumes became an issue. They were criticized for sexualizing female police officers by pairing police uniforms with knee socks and miniskirts.

When asked about this, Yunah said, “We were very happy and surprised by the strong interest after first revealing the stage during our tour. We are grateful for any kind of attention to our performance.”
She added, “As you can see in the music video, the ‘You’re Under Arrest’ stage is based on a black agent concept, and we plan to show various styles in the remaining performances. We would appreciate your continued interest then.”
