    What we’re watching (May 16, 2026)

The Scarecrow: As expected the silhouette was the brother, plus he gave creepy vibes. Honestly, Si Young is nearly as scary as Gi Hwan, they both have an incredibly callous disregard for human life and are selfish. Si Young is just not a serial killer. The fact that those two hangers on cops were so quick to throw Tae Joo under the bus and blame others for their murder of Ki Beom reminds me of certain supremacists. How incredibly awful. Poor Ki Beom and Sun Young.

Sold Out On You: There is a lot happening here. It is only episode 7-8. We have had the whole she-bang. Confession, “break up,” and noble idiocy. Ye Ji rightfully feels like she is being abandoned by someone she likes because he has decided not to be an adult and speak with her. Meanwhile the only slightly healthy relationship she has with her dad, she treats him like a pariah. The whole thing is a hot mess. Also, annoying.

Perfect Crown: These episodes have been boring to me. I don’t care about the intrigue. I already found the love triangle annoying and now they have made Prime Minister oppa insufferable. The Queen’s father, and his cartoon villainy. I personally think monarchies are terrible institutions, so ending it means nothing. Also, in the case of these people it changes basically nothing, they were ceremonial in the first. The Prime Minister stays the prime minister. I don’t get the point of this story. We could have spent the last two episodes watching out couple hang out, rooting for our secretaries, and had her brother and his wife as comic relief. But, No, we have to have whatever this tedious mess is.

My Royal Nemesis: These episodes were funny and our angry ceo has a crush on our villainess. I love how she basically adopted Gwang Nam after telling him off. I also appreciate that he lets her follow him. The two of them are great together. The slap fight was so funny, especially when she was like experience wins in the end, ha. I also really want to give a special shoutout to watching LIJ actually eat and not pick at her food like a bird. The little moments in the show are the best though, when she is discovering new things, or making a face at someone, just top tier. I am having fun with this.

Filing for Love: What the ever-loving heck is happening in this drama? I just…..there are so many moving parts. Lust triangles more than love triangles or is it a square. I am watching to keep up, because I don’t think I actually like this drama, it more like a fascinating incoherent problem, that I am trying to figure out.

We are All trying here: The Queen Hye Jin. Much like her, I am sick of Dong Man’s crap. Now he has to put up or shut up. I can’t wait to watch Eun Na shine like the diamond she is. Dong Hyeon is going to lose it when he realizes who Yeong Sil is. Also, Jae Yeong could have made his own life easier by giving Eun Na credit, but nooooo. I can’t wait until he gets his comeuppance.

The Wonderfools: I am only up to episode 5, but this drama is funny…
