On March 29, NCT DREAM held the final night of their fourth world tour, THE DREAM SHOW 4.

As expected, there were many emotional reactions from fans. However, several members of the group, including members who do not usually react this way, were seen crying hard on stage during the concert’s final moments.

Because of this, many fans expressed concerns over what could have caused the reaction.

One thing fans questioned is the possible “10-year-curse” that has affected other idols under SM Entertainment.

It is believed that many SM Idols sign initial seven-year contracts and then extend by another three, making for a total of ten years.  With NCT DREAM approaching their tenth anniversary and likely contract renewals, a new “curse” similar to the 7-year-curse is likely on fans’ minds.

However, after the show, Jaemin went live on Weverse while being transported home, responding to fans’ concerns. He said there was no reason for fans to cry, and that the group would continue on, noting that once one member started crying, their connection would lead the others to cry as well.

🐰: don’t cry. i mean, on such a good day. we performed for six days. we finished everything so perfectly. right? we are making such great memories, so why are you crying like this? don’t cry.
🐰: no, no. we can see each other again.

Don’t cry. I mean, on such a good day. We performed for six days. We finished everything so perfectly. Right? We are making such great memories, so why are you crying like this? Don’t cry. No, no we can see each other again. We will see each other again. No, why are you being like this? We will see each other again. Nah, it’s always like that. One person starts crying and we all start crying together. Promise, promise. We will see each other again. We will see each other again, babies! Babies, stop. I will protect you, so don’t worry.

    — Jaemin

Fans have taken his words to heart, assured that even with the uncertainty that the future may hold the group will be active again.
