Recently, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, released an official statement, one year after his press conference, addressing the various allegations raised against him.
The statement thanked the investigative authorities for revealing the truth based on objective evidence, and stated that Kim Soo Hyun had spent the last year working to prove his innocence.

However, after the statement was released, past KakaoTalk messages between Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor resurfaced online.
In KakaoTalk messages from April 9, 2018, Kim Soo Hyun sent, “I miss you right now” and “I love you.”
At the time, Kim Soo Hyun’s side responded that the messages were merely “habitual affection.”
Attorney Ko stated, “Due to the natural personalities and nature of their profession, actors frequently express affection and care for staff, colleagues, and juniors. No colleague misunderstands this as a romantic relationship. The deceased did not misunderstand at the time either, but the bereaved family is forcibly linking it to this.”
Netizens were appalled that they would release such an unreasonable response regarding the matter.
