Taking a peek at SBS’s 2026-2027 drama lineup

    by tccolb

    Lee Je-hoon, Ha-young

The halfway point of 2026 is fast approaching (already!) and SBS was happy to check-in on the year so far at the recent press event. But there’s still much to come on the horizon ahead in SBS’s dramaland and the official lineup has been announced for the second half of 2026, in addition to what’s beyond in 2027 next year.

    Title: Manager Kim 김부장
Production: PD Lee Seung-young, PD Lee So-eun / Writer Nam Dae-joong
    Release date: June 26, 2026
Need to know: The action-noir and webtoon-adaptation has So Ji-sub (Mercy for None) playing the title character, a double agent spy forced out of hiding when the story’s villains capture his daughter. This leads him down the darkened path of revenge. But thankfully, he’ll be aided by the also secretly bad-ass, neighborhood dads, Choi Dae-hoon (The WONDERfools) and Yoon Kyung-ho (The Legend of Kitchen Soldier).

    Choi Dae-hoon, So Ji-sub, Yoon Kyung-ho

    Title: Flex x Cop 2
Production: PD Kim Jae-hong / Writer Kim Ba-da
Release date: July 31, 2026 (tentative)
Need to know: Ahn Bo-hyun (Spring Fever) returns as the chaebol-and-cop hero in the crime-comedy’s Season 2 and this time he has properly earned his badge after graduating from the police academy. It wasn’t easy, though, with nightmare instructor Jung Eun-chae (Honour) overseeing his training. And she of course turns out to be his new team leader on the force.

    Ahn Bo-hyun, Jung Eun-chae

Title: Doctor X – The White Mafia Era
Production: PD Lee Jung-rim / Writer Pyun Sung-geun
    Release date: 2026
Need to know: Based on the popular 2012 Japanese series that kicked off multiple sequels, the Korean remake pits the principled Kim Ji-won (Queen of Tears) against the hospital’s business politics. And we’ll be following her journey over the medical-mystery tale, alongside Lee Jung-eun (Heavenly Ever After), Sohn Hyun-joo (Reborn Rookie), and Kim Woo-seok (Delightfully Deceitful).

    Clockwise: Kim Ji-won, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Woo-seok, Sohn Hyun-joo

    Title: Good Partner 2 굿파트너2
Production: PD Seo Min-jung / Writer Choi Yoo-na
    Release date: November 2026 (tentative)
Need to know: Picking up sometime after the events of Season 1, Jang Nara (Taxi Driver 3) and Pyo Ji-hoon (Teach You a Lesson) reprise their attorney roles in this new, next chapter with Jang running her own firm. The second season’s conflict will also bring her old rival Park Hae-jin (The Killing Vote) as well as new hire Kim Hye-yoon (No Tail to Tell) into the legal drama’s mix.

    Jang Nara, Kim Hye-yoon

    Title: Nine to Six
Production: PD Lee Hyung-min, PD Oh Song-hee / Writer Choi Ji-oh
    Release date: 2026
Need to know: Starring assistant manager Park Min-young (Siren’s Kiss), intern Yook Sung-jae (The Haunted Palace), and director Go Soo (Reverse), the office rom-com delves into the all-too-common problem of juggling between work and personal time. And it’s especially challenging for our workaholic heroine who even put off love in this remake of the Chinese drama The Rational Life.

Park Min-young, Yook Sung-jae, Go Soo

    Title: Excitatio (previously Awakening)
Production: PD Oh Joon-hyuk / Writer Jang Yoon-mi
    Release date: 2027
Need to know: A chilling scene awaits us in this occult-horror, where evil spirits are terrorizing the students at a high school. Here enters Lee Jun-hyuk (The Art of Sarah) taking a turn as an exorcist and priest to save the day, acting opposite Yoon Se-ah (Love Me), Oh Ye-joo (Phantom Lawyer), and Ryu Da-in (Pyramid Game).

    Lee Jun-hyuk

Title: The Long Shot Trial (previously There Is a Chance of Winning)
Production: PD Kwon Da-som / Writers Jung Jin-young, Kim Eui-chan
    Release date: 2027
Need to know: In an underdog, legal-comedy, quirky office manager Lee Je-hoon (Taxi Driver 3) – who has a background in law himself – teams up with the company’s rookie attorney Ha-young (Teach You a Lesson) in this adaptation of the Japanese drama Legal V. Their mission is to tackle the most difficult cases that are bound to lose and find a way to give their disadvantaged clients a winning chance.

    Lee Je-hoon, Ha-young

    Title: Nightmare
Production: PD Lee Dan / Writer Kim Kyu-won
    Release date: 2027
Need to know: Ever the police detective, Kim Nam-gil (Mad Concrete Dreams) stars in this investigative sci-fi, seeking vigilante justice on the criminals who have the means to dodge the law enforcement system. He thus works together with AI developer Lee Yumi (As You Stood By) to make use of a technology that can manipulate the subconscious and take control of people’s dreams.

    Kim Nam-gil, Lee Yumi

    Title: Full Count
Production: PD Ham Jun-ho / Writer Park Myung-rang
    Release date: 2027
Need to know: Headlined by Kim Rae-won (The First Responders) and Park Hoon (Bloodhounds 2), the sports drama also has UEE (Live Your Own Life) in the part of Kim’s wife. With the former two being fellow coaches, the story is centered around their long rivalry as they’re each now vying to become the pro baseball team’s next director.

    Kim Rae-won, Park Hoon

    Title: Dash
    Production: PD Kim Ji-yeon
    Release date: 2027
Need to know: Shin Hye-sun (Filing for Love) turns prosecutor for this mystery-suspense, which puts her in the cruel dilemma of choosing between her head and her heart. Thus begins the hunt for truth when her husband suddenly becomes murder suspect number one. And she’ll likely be joined by Kim Joon-han (Mad Concrete Dreams) as well as Kim Seo-hyung (Paper Moon).

    Shin Hye-sun

Title: The Judge From Hell 2
    Production: Writer Jo Yi-soo
    Release date: 2027
Need to know: Clad in the latest designer threads once more, demon justice Park Shin-hye (Undercover Miss Hong) will be making her comeback to the human realm in Season 2. And though it’s still early days, hopefully that means Kim Jae-young (I Dol I), Kim In-kwon (Our Universe), and Kim Ah-young (Boyfriend on Demand) will be returning as well.

    Via 10 Asia, SBS (1), (2), (3), (4)
