On June 12 (KST), BTS held their much-anticipated concert at the Asiad Main Stadium in Yeonje District in Busan. Despite the large-scale preparations for the event, things apparently went south pretty quickly.
BTS’ Busan Concert Faces Massive Backlash Over Multiple Alleged Management Failures
The concert had a massive delay of one hour and fifteen minutes, reportedly due to issues in the entry procedure and gift distribution. The debacle was so large-scale that BIGHIT Music ended up issuing an official apology on social media.
[NOTICE] Apology Concerning the Delayed Start of BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN on June 12
Hello.
This is HYBE.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who attended the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN today, June 12, for the significant inconvenience caused by the delayed…
— BTS_official (@bts_bighit) June 12, 2026
After the concert, the BTS members, specifically Jimin and Jungkook, acknowledged the issue and apologized to fans “on behalf of BIGHIT” during a livestream on Weverse. Jimin admitted they were not aware of exactly what went wrong, but regretted that the fan gifts ended up causing issues despite the good intentions behind the idea.
🐥 Thank you for coming today. The circumstances at the venue weren’t very good and we’re sorry about that.
🐰 We’re sorry.
🐥 I actually didn’t hear what went wrong. I heard they’re analyzing it and I think they did do that. And we asked them to prevent this from happening…

🐰 We apologize on behalf of BigHit.
🐰 Apologies! *bows head*
🐥 I feel sorry too. And actually rather than saying that it was the company’s fault, I think the setback occurred during organization.

While the BTS members’ apology was a courteous gesture, fans were angered by the fact that they had to take the fall for someone else’s fault. Many ARMYs expressed their frustration with the lack of accountability from the real stakeholders.
its quite clear that was poor organisation from the venue and the city of busan. its become a repeating pattern at this point https://t.co/5Bbd1GkhLN pic.twitter.com/BhmxQ2BInh

the way it was so beyond not their fault is crazy, it was the disrespectful “fans” that literally stole gifts and bad organisation on the venues end https://t.co/P7Ssx4gTmd

It’s entirely upon the Busan govt & their organizers. They have always failed. Time & again it’s just Armys themselves stopping big mishaps. The members will never be at fault & it’s not even Bighit when everywhere else it went fine. https://t.co/C1qDONEqXg

It actually infuriates me that they were put in a position where they had to apologize on anyone’s behalf. Like blood-boiling levels of fury going on in my veins rn. https://t.co/MCPKI1etpc
