Girls’ Generation member-turned-actress Sooyoung made her first official appearance following her breakup with actor Jung Kyung Ho.
Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung And Jung Kyung Ho Have Broken Up
On June 13, 2026 (KST), Sooyoung attended the 12th Together Marathon With The Visually Impaired, held at Peace Square in Seoul’s Sangam World Cup Park in Mapo District.
At the event, Sooyoung appeared ready to take part in the marathon with her hair neatly tied back in a ponytail. She also drew warm attention as she stood side by side with her father, who serves as chairman of the Movement To Eradicate Blindness organization. She was also seen waiting for the marathon alongside Sean, who participated in the event with her.
Previously, Sooyoung revealed that her father has been battling retinitis pigmentosa for more than 15 years and has vision problems. She also explained that her father has been involved in research and various events for the visually impaired. Sooyoung has long supported her father’s work as an ambassador for the Movement To Eradicate Blindness. In 2023, she also donated ₩300 million KRW (about $198,000 USD) to help fund research into treatments for blinding diseases, continuing her efforts to support visually impaired individuals and patients with hereditary retinal diseases.
On this day, Sooyoung ran the course alongside the marathon participants. All proceeds from the event will also be used for the welfare of visually impaired individuals.
Meanwhile, news of Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho’s breakup was reported on June 9. Sooyoung’s side acknowledged the breakup, stating, “It is true that Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho recently broke up.” The two had been dating since 2012 and went public with their relationship in 2014. They received much support as one of the entertainment industry’s representative long-term couples for 14 years, but ultimately parted ways, drawing significant public attention.
