Kim Se Jung and Bae Hyun Sung to Star in K-drama High School Queen Adapted from Popular Webtoon

So the genre of misbehaving high school students getting punished and their comeuppance is super popular right now thanks to Teach You a Lesson, and another one is coming but isn’t a bandwagon drama rather this was announced months ago as getting produced. The webtoon High School Queen (High School Queen Consort) is set to start filming a K-drama adaptation and the leads will be Kim Se Jung as the titular queen along with young actor Bae Sung Hyun. Her role is a top martial artists turned Joseon Queen and now her soul is the body of a modern high school student and uses her aura and skills to punish bad high school students. This role was first in discussions with Shin Ye Eun but that didn’t happen due to scheduling conflicts but I feel like Kim Se Jung is basically perfect for it so I’m thrilled with this final casting.
