Japanese singer-songwriter Asaba Nae has announced her marriage to music producer and DJ MK. On June 22, the couple shared the news directly with fans through their respective social media accounts.
Alongside a series of affectionate photos together, Asaba revealed that she had officially tied the knot with MK, who has worked alongside her throughout much of her career.
“I have become husband and wife with MK, who has supported my solo concerts and collaborated with me on many songs. We will continue to rely on one another, build warm days together, and share music created from the heart.”
She concluded by thanking fans for their continued support. MK shared a similar message on his own account. The producer thanked fans and those close to the couple for their encouragement over the years. He also reassured supporters that marriage would not affect either artist’s career plans.
“Asaba and I have officially registered our marriage.There will be no changes to our activities.”
MK further expressed his excitement about continuing to create music together as a married couple.

Asaba Nae debuted in 2008 with the single “Cafe Romano” and has since built a successful career as a singer-songwriter, releasing numerous singles and mini albums. A musician since childhood, she reportedly began learning electric guitar at a young age and started writing, composing, and arranging music while attending a music-focused high school program.
Meanwhile, MK is a Japanese music producer and DJ who also performs under the name Shadw. He is known for releasing music through several international labels and contributing tracks to popular rhythm games, including beatmania IIDX, CHUNITHM, and Cytus II.
The couple have also worked together musically for years, including forming a collaborative unit in 2017 and releasing multiple songs together.
