Actor Kim Woo Bin recently drew attention after calling out a viral picture of him with actress Kim Ji Won.

The picture in question was posted by an Instagram account based in Korea by the username of “@donglrami.” The account owner, Kim Dong Hyun, is a popular social media poet, boasting over 730,000 followers.
Most of the account’s content consists of photos of K-Drama actors, accompanied by inquisitive and introspective, poetic captions. A week ago, Kim posted a picture supposedly from Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah’s wedding, featuring the bride and groom, alongside actress Kim Ji Won. In the caption, he wrote at length about the true essence of marriage. The post drew almost half a million likes, a sharp uptick compared to his account’s usual statistics.
Undeniably, one of the driving forces of the post’s popularity was the picture he used, given that no such picture from the actor couple’s wedding had been made public by them or Kim Ji Won. The confusion finally settled when Kim Woo Bin himself left a comment under the photo, confirming that it was an AI-generated image.
Despite the actor’s clarification, the account has not removed the picture. Instead, the comments under the post have now been turned off, and the likes have been hidden.
The image has sparked a wider discussion about the epidemic of AI-generated fake celebrity images and the alarming normalization of them.
