BTS is on the verge of making history… again!
Industry projections now estimate that the group’s ongoing “Arirang” world tour will generate at least $748 million USD (approximately ₩1.16 trillion), with some analysts confident it could surpass $800 million USD. If realized, BTS would become the first K-Pop act and the first Asian artist ever to gross $700 million from a single tour.
For context, BLACKPINK’s “Born Pink” previously held the record for the highest-grossing tour by an Asian act at $331.81 million USD. BTS is on track to more than double that figure.
According to Billboard’s Top Tours data, the “Arirang” tour had completed 24 shows by the end of May, already pulling in $204 million USD at an average of $8.5 million per concert. With 64 shows still remaining through early next year — including stadium stops at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Munich’s Allianz Arena — the numbers are only expected to climb.
One industry insider noted that ₩1 trillion tours have historically been reserved for the biggest Western superstars, adding that BTS crossing that milestone would signal a definitive shift in global entertainment’s center of gravity.
The “Arirang” tour continues July 1–2 in Brussels, Belgium.
