Reactions among fans are mixed regarding the news of a K-Pop idol appearing at Waterbomb, leading to heated debate.
Recently, the Waterbomb organizers announced that Nam Yujeong (also known as Nam You Joung), will perform at the “Waterbomb Sokcho 2026” event on the 22nd at Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano in Sokcho, Gangwon Province.
Her agency stated, “She will showcase a new ‘summer muse’ charm beyond her previously bright and healthy image.”
Nam Yujeong joined Brave Girls in 2016 and gained much love as part of the group’s reverse-hit success with “Rollin’” in 2021. The team changed their name to BBGIRLS in 2023 and continued activities, but Nam Yujeong left the group in April last year to focus on acting and solo work.
Following the announcement, various opinions surfaced online. Some fans questioned, “Since BBGIRLS are still active, isn’t it odd for a former member to sing ‘Rollin’’?“, and “I thought she had shifted to acting—why is she returning to singing?”

Most importantly, what songs Nam Yujeong will perform at Waterbomb have not been disclosed. Therefore, there are calls to refrain from premature assumptions about whether she will perform BBGIRLS’s hits like “Rollin’” until confirmed on the day of the event.
