RESCENE members have expressed how they feel their group’s rising popularity, surprising viewers.
On August 15th, tvN variety show Amazing Saturday featured guests RESCENE’s Woni, Liv, and Zena.
During the broadcast, Boom introduced RESCENE as the “trend of trends” and mentioned their recently busy schedule. When asked if she feels her popularity, Woni said, “I’m feeling it right here, right now. The seniors sitting beside me are such amazing people,” showing her excitement about appearing on Amazing Saturday. Upon hearing this, Nucksal praised her for having both popularity and humility.
What made Woni feel her popularity even more sharply was her changed dining table. She revealed, “These days, I can always eat beef regardless of price or cut,” explaining that her agency head told her not to worry about the cost and to pick whatever she wants. The cast showed surprise at the revelation that the restrictions on menu choices had disappeared compared to before.
Boom asked Taeyeon, who rose to the top as a member of girl group Girls’ Generation, how her diet changed during her active years. Taeyeon recalled, “At first, it was kimbap,” and Shin Dong Yup related by saying he also started with inexpensive kimbap wrapped in foil. The debut diets of RESCENE members were not much different. Zena revealed she mainly ate grilled eggs, and Liv said she mostly ate konjac jelly. Liv now smiles contentedly, saying she can freely eat beef.
Woni also shared that even her family feels the popularity. After introducing herself in YouTube content as “Deok Yeon’s daughter,” named after her mother, attention was drawn to her mother as well.
She said, “They sent me to become a celebrity, but my mother became one instead,” explaining that wherever her mother goes, there are sightings reported. Although her mother promised not to reveal her daughter’s identity to others, even the fact that she visited a dermatology clinic became known, drawing laughter.
