Like the previous season’s winners, I.O.I., WANNA ONE saw significant popularity before the group’s disbandment in 2019. Afterward, the members began other activities, with some debuting in new groups or as solo artists.
In the case of Lai Kualin (also spelled Guanlin), he debuted in a duo with PENTAGON‘s Wooseok, Wooseok x Guanlin, before he requested the termination of his contract with Cube Entertainment. After this, he focused his career in China, where he worked as an actor until 2024, when he announced his retirement to “switch careers” and now focuses on directing behind the scenes.
Kuanlin
In the last year, he has somewhat returned to the spotlight, including a brief appearance during WANNA ONE’s reality program. He has also sat down for interviews, like a recent one that has sparked rumors.
During the interview, Kuanlin was suddenly asked whether he had a family, at which point he froze and asked the interviewer to “go easy on him.”
As a result, Kuanlin topped Weibo’s search trends with the phrase, “Lai Guanlin seemingly got married.” Along with this, other speculations about Kuanlin’s relationships surfaced, including when he was allegedly spotted with a woman back in 2024.
