Actress Yoon Son Ha, a familiar face to K-Drama fans for her roles in hit shows like The Heirs and Six Flying Dragons, has shared an update from Vancouver, Canada, after disappearing from the Korean entertainment industry in 2017.

On February 8, 2026, the actress posted a selfie with fellow actress Lee Hye Eun on her Instagram account, along with the caption, “We’re always this excited when we meet. Even though we live in the same city of Vancouver, we don’t see each other often—but when we do, it’s as joyful as if we saw each other just yesterday.”
Yoon Son Ha then reminisced about her time as an actress, writing, “It was such a long time ago, but sometimes I still get those subtle feelings that make me think, ‘Oh right, I used to be an actress.’ Hye Eun unnie is the only person here I can share those feelings with. As a sunbae in acting AND in life, she is someone I can learn so much from—I really adore her.”
Yoon Son Ha faced intense scrutiny in 2017 following allegations that her son was involved in a school bullying incident. Reports claimed that during a school retreat at a private elementary school in Seoul, four students—including Yoon Son Ha’s son—assaulted a victim by stomping on them and hitting them with a baseball bat. At the time, Yoon Son Ha responded by stating that claims of indiscriminate group violence were “largely different from the facts.”

However, she is not immigrating; that would be an overstatement.”
Regardless of what her relocation is called, Yoon Son Ha has effectively halted her acting and entertainment activities in Korea as of 2017, with her most recent appearance being in the 2017 KBS2 K-Drama Hit The Top. She did appear in a Japanese program in 2024.
