Broadcaster Park Na Rae, accused of abusive behavior towards former managers and illegal medical practices, has completed her first suspect interrogation.
On the afternoon of the 20th, Park Na Rae appeared at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul and was questioned for about 7 hours and 30 minutes on charges including special injury and violation of medical laws.
Wearing a black suit and glasses, Park emerged around 10:40pm that day. She told reporters, “I responded sincerely to the investigators’ questions and answered truthfully.”
Regarding the allegations of mistreating her managers, she said, “I believe these matters will be clarified through the investigation.”
When asked if she had ever thrown a glass of alcohol at her managers, she replied, “I cooperated sincerely during today’s investigation. I will rectify any false claims.”
Park apologized, bowing her head, saying, “I apologize for causing concern due to my uncomfortable circumstances.”
When asked which parts of her former managers’ claims she believes to be lies, she said, “That is something revealed through the investigation, and it is delicate for me to comment on.”
When asked if she had anything to say to her managers, she briefly answered, “No.”
Earlier, Park’s former managers filed a complaint accusing her of verbal abuse, injury, and harassment during their employment, charging her with special injury, defamation by false facts, and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act. In response, Park filed a countersuit at the Yongsan Police Station, accusing her former managers of attempted extortion and embezzlement related to work.
