On the 17th (local time), G-Dragon headlined the KRAZY SUPER CONCERT held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater in the United Arab Emirates. This stage marked his first official performance in the Middle East, signaling his intention to expand his activities beyond North America and Europe.

He heated up the venue with hit songs starting from “POWER”, including “HOME SWEET HOME”, “Crayon”, “TOO BAD,” and “Crooked”. Especially during the performance of “Crooked”, fans sang along beyond language and nationality barriers, showcasing the unity of his global fandom.

However, some Chinese fans have criticized G-Dragon’s choice of words. During the concert, as he greeted the audience for the new year, G-Dragon shouted “Lunar,” and fans responded with “New Year.”

The video went viral on Chinese online platforms, sparking controversy. Since Chinese singer Cai Xukun, who performed on the same stage, reportedly said “Chinese New Year,” suspicions arose that G-Dragon’s wording was a deliberate choice.

This issue is analyzed as going beyond mere translation problems, touching on cultural identity debates about the origin of the holiday.
