Premiere Watch: A Shop for Killers 2

Reasons to watch: It’s been about two and a half years since the first season of A Shop for Killers, and Disney+ is finally gracing us with the second (and likely final) season of the series. Our niece-uncle leads from the first season, Kim Hye-joon and Lee Dong-wook, are reprising their roles.
For the uninitiated, in the first season, Lee Dong-wook passed away suddenly, leaving the niece he’d raised as the sole inheritor of his business. Said business was no corner store, it was a massive online shopping mall for killers of all sorts (assassins, hired guns, you get the idea), and so on). On top of dealing with her grief and coming to grips with her uncle’s business, a major criminal force called Babylon came after her, intent on eliminating her and taking the business out. Kim survived thanks to her smarts and by relying on old skills her uncle instilled in her (plus a few old friends of the family who stepped up to protect her).
In Season 2, we pick up where we left off, but Kim Hye-joon is a grief-stricken innocent no more. She’s determined to pick up the reins and continue in her uncle’s line of work. Her first order of business? Obliterating Babylon once and for all.
This one will be a real adventure, packed with action and a time of discovery for two leads who are really easy to root for. I’m curious to see how they develop the story, particularly with regard to Ji-an’s growth and how they utilize Lee Dong-wook’s character. I hope we get to see more of their relationship together, but selfishly, I would also just love lots of screentime for Lee Dong-wook.
