The police are investigating a woman in her 50s on charges of wiretapping ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo.
The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced on September 18th that they have booked and are investigating a woman identified as A in her 50s for violating the Telecommunications Privacy Protection Act.
According to the Yongsan Police Station, A is suspected of attaching a wiretapping device under a table in a cafe in Yongsan-gu twice last month to eavesdrop on conversations between Cha Eunwoo and an acquaintance.
It is reported that A was caught by the police while trying to retrieve the wiretapping device she installed on the 30th of last month.
The police are reportedly investigating whether there are accomplices and the source of the wiretapping device through mobile phone forensics and other methods.
