BLACKPINK‘s “DEADLINE” has been met with scathing reviews after the album was officially released.

Even before the album was released, the songs leaked, sparking massive anger and disappointment.

Yet, while the leak sparked backlash due to the songs, it was even worse on February 27, after the album was officially released.

On social media, fans and netizens shared their thoughts on the album, but many used the word “disband” after believing that the songs were not good and had massively reduced in quality from the previous releases. Some even said that it felt anticlimactic, with it just being a random Friday with no impact compared to the past.

Blackpink y’all can go ahead and disband it’s okay stop holding onto the brand for the sake of the fans and put the half-assed material to rest pic.twitter.com/UZWu1mrJcM

Sex offender in the credits, the exact same sh*t as the leaks, chatgpt lyrics, some members voices auto tuned to the lvl it doesn’t even sound like them 😭 this album gets 3/10 for Roseanne’s heavenly vocals that were wasted on this trash. We move. Stink pink you’re done

I cannot believe they managed to make an era worst than Born Pink. Kudos @BLACKPINK 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

like if this is the quality of music they were going to put out after waiting nearly a year then idg why they couldn’t have released a mini before the tour like i’m sure even the outdated 21 rejects in teddy’s vault would have been better than these b-sides.

Blackpink comeback after 3 years and it feels like a random day lmfao oh the tankery……

    — Lili (@lisa327m) February 26, 2026

Also, given the lack of apparent investment from the members, fans shared that they didn’t care about group projects and would wait for the solo comebacks.

The girls don’t care anymore neither do i…I’ll be back for the solo albums pic.twitter.com/AopgVuJHWh

The whole comeback has been hit with ridicule before the EP was released, and you can read about it below.
