Dream to You reunites Hwang In-yub with Hyeri

Crossing over from youth to adulthood in ENA’s first teaser for Dream to You (previously Your Dream), Hwang In-yub (Dear X) finds his way back to an as of yet unwelcoming Hyeri (Friendly Rivalry) to follow through on a long-lingering wish.
In the flush of being eighteen with the whole world waiting ahead, a lovey-dovey Woo Su-bin (Hwang In-yub) and Joo Yi-jae (Hyeri) had shared the dream of becoming filmmakers. The big hope was also that they could some day make a movie together. But though we’re not yet told the details, our two young leads soon parted ways.
We then fast forward fifteen years to the present day, when the now thirty-something Su-bin has succeeded in becoming a director and is awarded for his efforts. In his acceptance speech, he credits Yi-jae for being the one who first planted his dream and guided him down this path when he was feeling lost.
Yi-jae, on the other hand, has since changed course and has been working as a reporter to make ends meet. Circumstances had led her to make less desirable but practical choices in her career, and it understandably stings to see that Su-bin achieved the dream that she couldn’t.
Our heroine is thus wary of Su-bin’s intentions when he suddenly shows up on her doorstep and is ready to flirt up a storm. Unperturbed by Yi-jae’s rebuffs, the cheeky Su-bin then pulls out the cherished script that the two had worked on in the past. And we close on Su-bin’s proposal to finish what they started, and make this movie together.
Filling out our story world with Baek Sung-chul (Brewing Love), Lee Yeol-eum (Dear X), as well as Lee Sang-yub (Beyond the Bar), ENA’s Dream to You is slated to premiere on July 13 next month. Production for the series has PD Yoo Sun-dong (Unmasked, The Uncanny Counter) directing and writing by Jung Eun-bi.
