A girl group idol revealed her own views on dating and treatment of ex-boyfriends.
On August 26th, the YouTube channel No Back Tak uploaded a video titled “EXID Solji, ‘That guy who once chased after me despite all the teasing’.”
In the video, EXID member Solji explained, “I appeared on a trot competition program. My mom highly recommended it. It’s a show that older generations really like, so my mom said, ‘It would be good for you to go on.’” This was how she started singing trot.
Having recently released a trot song, Solji sang her new track, “The One And Only You,” on the spot, and Tak Jae Hoon praised her by saying, “You really sing well.”
Tak Jae Hoon also said, “Trot requires skill,” and asked, “Have you ever experienced heartbreaking love?” Solji answered honestly, “Yes, I have. We talked when we broke up. We split because of personality differences. Sometimes, breakups happened because someone was at fault.”
Tak Jae Hoon pressed her, “Haven’t you done ballads too? Have you ever purposely ditched a guy to get into the right emotional mood?” Solji replied, “That’s a misunderstanding. I’ve never broken up because of emotions to focus on singing.”
Then Tak Jae Hoon asked, “Who is the guy you bring up the most?” Solji joked, “It’s different every time.”
When Shin Gyu Jin expressed concern, “That person might be watching this broadcast,” Solji drew the line clearly, “I don’t meet people I’ve already broken up with. Even if they contact me, I block them. If I run into them on the street by chance, I’d immediately turn away.”
