The entertainment industry offers many paths, and while it is looked down upon by some, musicians and actors sometimes enter adult entertainment.
Sometimes, the routes believed to be “better” for a person don’t turn out that way, like in the case of a former child star.

Shiho Nagisa began her career at the age of six, appearing in local musicals in Kagoshima Prefecture. Throughout her time in school, she also participated in broadcasting clubs, though her career made her a target for bullying at the hands of her peers, causing her to develop severe anorexia.
She was cast by a voice-acting agency and relocated to Tokyo after graduating from high school, where she was cast in mainly small roles. She shared that while working, she was eventually met with sexual coercion, losing a large role due to her refusal.

Nagisa met an industry figure who swore to help her achieve her acting dream, though this kindness quickly turned into what she described as “brainwashing.” The person pitched her for jobs, but also became obsessed, seeking to remain in contact with her at all times.
When her mother noticed her depression over the situation, she told her to end the association. However, the individual then sent a letter through a lawyer demanding that 7 million yen (around 45,338 USD) be returned to cover his expenses.
Nagisa went through years of litigation before finally settling. After considering various ways to continue in the entertainment industry, Nagisa first tried swimwear modeling, which she enjoyed so much that she became an AV (adult video) actress, adopting the stage name Ruu Totsuka.
She made her debut in September 2023, and says that the career change likely prevented her from ending her own life.
Both of her parents support her doing what makes her happy, and she has found stability after her tumultuous previous years.
