Mark may have left NCT and SM Entertainment behind, but the controversies appear to have followed him out the door.
The former boy group star has been under fire after photos surfaced of him wearing a shirt bearing the Confederate flag. Widely regarded as a hate symbol, the flag is historically tied to slavery and white supremacy in the United States.

Mark became the subject of swift and heated backlash, prompting his management, Upper Room, to issue an apology. However, many fans felt the statement fell far short of addressing the severity of the situation. And it also became a point of criticism.

Fans have discovered that David Lee, Mark’s closest manager at Upper Room, is still following his ex-bandmate Taeil on Instagram.
