K-pop boy group 1VERSE has cancelled their Minneapolis concert after massive protests erupted in the city following the fatal shooting of nurse Alex Pretti by an ICE officer.

The decision comes as protests continue and tensions remain high near downtown Minneapolis, where the deadly incident occurred.

The group was scheduled to perform at the Granada Theatre, reportedly just minutes from the site of the murder.

Alex Pretti, who is identified as the man fatally shot by a U.S. Border Patrol officer in Minneapolis on Saturday, was an intensive care nurse dedicated to treating veterans.

After widespread safety concerns from fans and growing unrest in the city, 1VERSE’s management moved to postpone the show.

so the risk of your artists, fans, and staff being murdered in broad daylight by ICE for the crime of simply existing in their vicinity isn’t enough for you to so much as POSTPONE? shame on you @singingbeetle. you’re sending your artists into an active war zone.

you’re putting a lot of your fans in danger, especially if they’re people of color. this is genuinely sick

In a statement to fans, 1VERSE said the concert will now take place on March 25 at the Granada Theatre. All existing tickets will still be valid for that date, and refunds are available for anyone who can’t attend the rescheduled show.

The statement added that the decision to postpone wasn’t taken lightly.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided to postpone the Minneapolis show to March 25, 2026 at the Granada Theater. All existing tickets will be honored for the new show date; refunds are available for anyone who cannot make the new date.

We also want to remind ourselves that 5TARZ and Singing Beetle share the same purpose: supporting and protecting 1VERSE. While sometimes things may take longer than desired, each important decision requires us to be informed, deliberate and coordinated.
