Hani, Ha Suk-jin
KBS’s next family weekender Love Is Coming dropped a sneak peek of the cast’s first table read featuring Ha Suk-jin (Siren’s Kiss) and Hani, a.k.a. Ahn Hee-yeon, (Call It Love) alongside a plethora of castmates. Following the story of these two people, the show is about how they collect the splintered fragments of their family to create the warmest meal of their lives.
Ha Suk-jin plays the prickly Kim Mu-jin who hides his true feelings as well as his scars. He threw away everything for love, but all he got in return was a broken heart. After his girlfriend disappeared one day, he searched every corner of the earth looking for her, so when they cross paths again in the future, it stirs a lot of emotions in him.
Unlike Mu-jin, Han Kyu-lim (Hani) threw away love for her family. As the eldest daughter and a mother, she spends every day fighting to provide for her family. While her time with Mu-jin was filled with happiness, it was not strong enough to overcome the weight of life’s responsibilities and ultimately caused them to separate.
Playing Kyu-lim’s younger sister Han Kyu-young is Park Yoo-na (Spirit Fingers). A blunt and self-assured dermatologist, Kyu-young is as she appears, but on the inside, she also cares deeply for her family. Also in the cast are Bae Jung-nam (Spring Fever) in the role of Kyu-lim’s friend Jo Heung-shik, Bae Yoon-kyu (Shin’s Project) as Kyu-lim’s younger brother and host Han Kyu-oh, and Lee Joo-yeon (In Your Radiant Season) as the devoted Jang Seo-hyun who has a one-sided crush on Mu-jin.
As for the older generation, Ryu Seung-soo (Our Universe) plays Kyu-lim’s immature father Han Seok-joong, Yoon Yoo-sun (Reborn Rookie) is their mother Go Yoon-hee, and Kwon Hae-hyo (Mary Kills People) is her new husband and fashion company CEO Jang Hoon-tae. Finally, Jin Kyung (Spring Fever) plays Mu-jin’s mother and chaebol CEO Hong Ok-sun.
The fifty-episode weekender is directed by PD Hong Seok-gu (Queen’s House) and written by Lee Kyung-hee (Chocolate). Love Is Coming premieres July 25 following Recipe For Love.
