- The first stills have dropped on SBS for Manager Kim, suiting up So Ji-sub (Mercy for None) to become dramaland’s latest ajusshi hero (and there’s always room for more), who is forced to expose his secret identity when his only daughter is in danger. Along with his fellow ‟ordinary” dads, Choi Dae-hoon (The WONDERfools) and Yoon Kyung-ho (The Legend of Kitchen Soldier), the action-thriller will be launching on June 26 next month. Production for the webtoon-adaptation has PD Lee Seung-young (Wonderful World), PD Lee So-eun, and screenwriter Nam Dae-joong (The First Ride) leading the team. [SBS]
- Speaking of darker tales, Lee Jun-ki (Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun) will be making his drama comeback this October, playing a retired doctor in Channel A’s new crime-suspense Kidnap Game. In a collaboration between Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong, the series co-stars Sakaguchi Kentaro (Romantics Anonymous) as well as Ko Chia-yen, a.k.a. Alice Ko (Had I Not Seen the Sun, Part 2), in addition to other talents from across Asia. [Channel A, Single List]
- tvN is changing up their late spring/summer schedule, doubling up their weekend roster after Filing for Love concludes later this week. TVING’s Dear X – starring Kim Yoo-jung (My Demon), Kim Young-dae (Boyfriend on Demand), and Kim Do-hoon (Love Scout) – will then begin broadcasting on June 6 next week, which released for online streaming back in November 2025. Also on June 6, but in a different timeslot, tvN will be airing Season 1 of Apple TV+’s Pachinko and Season 2 is slated to follow on July 18. [Osen]
- July 18 marks the start of tvN’s Spooky in Love as well and promos continue with new character stills, showcasing our supernatural rom-com heroine Park Eun-bin (The WONDERfools). With Yang Se-jong (Low Life) and Ong Sung-woo (Boyfriend on Demand) joining the ghostly adventure, the fantasy-mystery remake has PD Lee Min-soo (Resident Playbook) directing and scripts adapted by Choi Jung-mi. - In the meantime, tvN is keeping busy with preparations for See You at Work Tomorrow, delivering another bundle of stills for this upcoming office rom-com. Premiering on June 22, following The Legend of Kitchen Soldier in the Monday-Tuesday slot, hopefully the workday blues will soon be chased away once the lovey-dovey shifts begin for Seo In-guk (Boyfriend on Demand) and Park Ji-hyun (You and Everything Else).
