    Group and concept

ONE OR EIGHT (also stylized as 1OR8) is an eight-member Japanese boy group under Avex, made up of MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA, and YUGA. Their name comes from a Japanese idiom meaning “all or nothing,” reflected in their tagline “BET ON YOURSELF” and a confident, streetwise performance style that blends hip-hop and pop. The members have built their reputation through powerful rap lines, tight choreography, and polished vocals that highlight both their individual charms and strong team dynamic.

    Mini album “GATHER”

“GATHER” is billed as ONE OR EIGHT’s first mini album and frames this era as a milestone where previous singles are pulled together into a cohesive body of work. According to release information shared with fans, “GATHER” is scheduled for January 28, 2026 (JST), with a structured “ROAD TO GATHER (Chapter 1)” comeback calendar building anticipation through staged teasers and content drops. The project is positioned as a statement of unity, bringing different sides of ONE OR EIGHT’s sound—rap-driven tracks, vocal-focused songs, and performance anthems—into one storyline.

    Pre-release single “POWER”

Ahead of the mini album, the pre-release single “POWER” lands on January 7, 2026 (JST), setting the sonic and visual tone for the era. The title hints at an aggressive, performance-heavy track with pounding beats, bass-driven production, and confident lyrics that echo the group’s “bet on yourself” theme. As a pre-release, “POWER” functions as a teaser for the album’s energy, showcasing the rap strength of members like MIZUKI and RYOTA alongside the dynamic vocals of TSUBASA, REIA, YUGA, and TAKERU.

    Teaser and concept imagery

Promotional materials for “GATHER” emphasize a sharp, modern aesthetic that fuses Japanese streetwear with sleek, performance-ready styling. Concept images highlighted in fan discussions and teaser posts feature coordinated outfits, layered textures, and bold accessories that underline a cool, urban charisma rather than a purely boy-next-door image. The visuals for “POWER” in particular lean into intensity and contrast—strong poses, focused expressions, and a color palette that frames the group as both polished idols and fearless risk-takers living up to their “all or nothing” name.
