YouTuber Park We, who faced severe criticism after releasing a video of an accident while getting off the KTX, is once again at the center of controversy for his attitude toward a visually impaired YouTuber.
Recently, a video featuring Park We on the channel of visually impaired YouTuber Oneshot Hansol has been gaining renewed attention online.
In the video, filmed at an outdoor camping site, Park We watches as Oneshot Hansol pushes his own wheelchair and says, “How are you able to do this when you can’t see? I’ll be watching you here.” He then intentionally withheld directions, and when Oneshot Hansol took a different path, Park We admitted, “So you really couldn’t see.”
Later, when Oneshot Hansol started a fire and grilled meat himself, Park We continued with remarks implying, “Honestly, you can see everything,” and, “I’ll admit this isn’t staged.”
When Oneshot Hansol skillfully peeled shrimp shells, Park We expressed surprise to the production staff, saying, “This kid really peeled the shrimp.”
At the time of its release, these moments were seen as harmless jokes, but as public opinion toward Park We has grown colder recently, the video is being reassessed.
Some netizens have criticized his behavior as somewhat disrespectful, saying things like, “How would you feel if someone asked if you can honestly move your legs?” and “It felt like bullying.” Conversely, others argue that since this was scripted content based on a long-standing friendship, judging intent by isolated scenes alone is wrong.
Previously, Park We experienced an accident where he tripped over an on-duty staff member’s foot while getting off the KTX. After sharing the related CCTV footage on his channel Weracle and expressing his displeasure, he faced backlash.
