In a new compilation of unaired clips that was uploaded to Kim Young Chul‘s YouTube channel, comedian Kim Shin Young was spotted revealing the hilarious and alarming reason she decided to stop drinking.
Kim Shin Young had previously shared on the channel that she had stopped drinking around seven or eight years ago. In the newly released clip, she explained that she quit because of how severe her drunken behavior used to be. “I stopped because my drinking habits were so bad,” she said.
She then recalled one incident where she scratched at a door so intensely while drunk that her nails came off. “I don’t remember any of it,” Kim Shin Young admitted, “and my friends said they were so scared.”
But the story that drew the biggest laughs involved AOA member Seolhyun, or more specifically, Seolhyun’s standee.
Kim Shin Young revealed that she once got drunk and picked a fight with a cardboard standee of Seolhyun. She recalled picking a fight with the standee, saying, “Your unnie is here, and you’re not even greeting me? What are you doing?!”
The next day, bits and pieces of the incident came back to her, and she suddenly thought of Seolhyun. Feeling sorry, she even called Seolhyun to apologize!
Kim Shin Young recently also made headlines for candidly addressing her weight gain, explaining that she had gained some weight back after previously receiving attention for her major weight loss. As always, fans appreciated her honesty and humor.
