It has already been three years since musical actress Park Soo Ryun (also known as Park Young In) passed away.
On June 11, 2023, Park Soo Ryun was involved in an accident when she fell down the stairs on her way home and was rushed to the hospital. Despite receiving treatment, she fell into a brain-dead state and passed away at the young age of 29 without regaining consciousness.
Her sudden accident cut short a promising life, bringing great sorrow to many. At the time, her family decided to honor her warm heart by donating her organs, practicing love and sharing life until the very end.
The late Park Soo Ryun, who debuted in 2018, steadily worked in the musical theater scene, connecting with audiences. She built a solid career through diverse performances including the play Brushed by Love and musicals such as The Tenor, Finding Mr. Destiny, Siddhartha, and THE CELLAR.
Notably, just about two weeks before her passing, at the end of May 2023, she performed in the musical The Days We Loved, demonstrating her deep passion for acting, which made the sudden news all the more heartbreaking.
After the news of her passing was announced, fellow actors like Kim Do Hyun and Lee Won Jang, along with others in the performing arts community, expressed their condolences and mourning.
The late Park Soo Ryun’s noble gift of organ donation and her warm spirit, along with her passion for the stage, still remain in the hearts of her fans even three years later.
