Will she be able to make a successful comeback?

Heart Signal 3 star Seo Eun Woo, formerly known as Seo Min Jae, appears to be cautiously stepping back into the public eye following months dominated by childbirth and an increasingly complicated legal dispute with her child’s father.
On August 2, Seo uploaded a new video titled “Taking Studio Photos” to her personal YouTube channel. Turning on the camera for what she described as her first vlog in some time, Seo admitted that filming herself again felt unfamiliar. The video followed Seo as she visited a studio to take new profile photos, immediately raising questions about whether she may be preparing to resume her activities more formally.
I turned on the camera because I wanted to film a vlog for the first time in a while. It feels really awkward. I’ve forgotten how I used to do this.

After having her hair and makeup professionally done, Seo jokingly lamented that she no longer had many opportunities to dress up while caring for her baby. “I got my makeup done, so I should be going somewhere, but these days, I can’t really go anywhere,” she commented. Although Seo did not directly announce a comeback or reveal how the new profile photos would be used, the polished shoot and return to vlogging have attracted attention amid the turbulent series of events that preceded them.
Seo first became known to the public through Channel A’s Heart Signal 3 in 2020. She drew particular attention for reportedly becoming the first woman hired as a maintenance technician through Hyundai Motor Company’s open recruitment process for university graduates. She later built a career as an influencer, but her public image changed dramatically after she and singer Nam Tae Hyun were investigated for methamphetamine use in 2022.
Seo was ultimately sentenced to ten months in prison, suspended for two years. She later legally changed her name from Seo Min Jae to Seo Eun Woo, signaling that she hoped to begin a new chapter. Instead, she became embroiled in another major controversy after announcing an unplanned pregnancy in 2025 and publicly identifying the man she claimed was her baby’s father.
Seo accused her former boyfriend of cutting off communication and avoiding responsibility after learning about the pregnancy. His legal representatives firmly disputed her account, stating that he had remained in contact, discussed the pregnancy, and informed his parents.
His side then accused Seo of repeatedly contacting him, revealing his private information, confining him inside her home, and physically assaulting him. They announced plans to pursue legal action over alleged stalking, confinement, assault, and defamation. Seo responded that she had only been attempting to communicate about their unborn child.

Seo gave birth to a son in December 2025 and has reportedly continued raising him without direct communication or a parenting agreement with the child’s father. Just days before uploading her new vlog, Seo’s legal representatives issued another public statement asking the father to engage in discussions concerning the baby.
According to her representatives, Seo was raising the child alone at a welfare facility while still recovering physically from childbirth. They claimed that no concrete agreement had been reached regarding the child’s care despite repeated attempts to begin a conversation. Her legal team also stated that Seo had initiated a paternity recognition lawsuit to protect the child’s legal rights, while civil and criminal proceedings brought by the other party remained underway. They emphasized that she wanted dialogue focused on the child rather than further public accusations or courtroom conflict.
Against that backdrop, Seo’s return to a relatively ordinary vlog marked a noticeable change in tone. The new profile photos have inevitably fueled speculation that Seo may be testing the waters for an entertainment or influencer comeback. However, she has not yet confirmed any specific project or official return to activities. For now, the vlog appears to be her first tentative move back toward the online career she maintained before her private life became a highly public legal battle.
