As time has passed, the emphasis on selling physical albums has only increased for those in the K-Pop industry. Fans love collecting (a reasonable number of) versions of their favorite releases, while a measure of a group’s success is the total number of albums sold.
Many singers have achieved massive heights with album sales; several have hit the one-million seller mark and above.

However, one K-Pop idol personally reacted to low first-day album sales, earning attention. In 2016, the boy group IMFACT debuted under Star Empire Entertainment.

They remained active as a group until Jeup began his military service in 2020, with members then making solo debuts. In 2022, IMFACT were announced to have not renewed their contracts with Star Empire, though the group stated that they were not disbanding. They have since been inactive as the members focused on other pursuits.

This information was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a fan account dedicated to sharing official album stats. Surprisingly, the artist responded to this tweet with a bit of surprise, thanked fans for buying his album, and said he was “not ashamed” of the results so far.
