On June 17, a female idol announced her departure from her current group, nearly four years after debuting as a member.

Hoshitani Mikuru is a Japanese idol and a founding member of the girl group Takane no Nadeshiko. She’s also a former member of two other groups: Onigokko and Negaigoto. Now, she’s preparing to move on once again.
On Takane no Nadeshiko’s official site, it was announced that Mikuru will “graduate” from the group at the end of August. Her graduation concert–a celebration to mark her time with the group and say farewell to fans–is scheduled for August 25, at Ebisu The Garden Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Mikuru made the decision after thinking about her future and next steps. She felt that, at this time, graduation was the way forward for her. She has expressed deep gratitude to fans, fellow members, and staff, describing the past three and a half years as a time she’ll treasure.

Takane no Nadeshiko will continue activities as an eight-member group following her departure.
