A tennis coach who previously appeared on TV has been sent to prosecution for allegedly distributing an intimate video without consent.

According to a June 14 report by Money Today, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency forwarded a man in his 30s, identified only as “Man A,” to prosecution without detention late last month on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

A, a former tennis player for a corporate team who later became a coach, is accused of sending videos of himself having sex with his then-girlfriend, identified as “Woman B,” to another woman, identified as “Woman C,” without B’s consent. The alleged incidents reportedly took place multiple times from around mid-2024 to April 2025.

A is known to have appeared in films and variety programs in the past. Reports also state that police found signs suggesting there may be at least two additional victims besides B.

The woman who allegedly received and watched the videos has also drawn attention. C is reportedly the wife of a popular YouTube content creator who was once part of a famous singing duo, and is said to have been a longtime acquaintance of A.

C was also sent to prosecution on charges of possessing or viewing filmed material distributed without consent. Prosecutors ultimately issued a suspended indictment against her.

According to the report, while receiving the videos and photos, C allegedly exchanged messages about B’s body and even requested additional material. C’s side acknowledged that she received the videos, but explained, “A suddenly sent the videos to multiple people, including his wife,” adding, “She was flustered and did not think to stop him.”

Regarding whether she had apologized to the victim, C’s side stated, “She does not know who the victim is, so once things are sorted out, she will likely apologize.” However, it has reportedly been confirmed that C had already spoken with B.

Meanwhile, police did not forward A on separate charges of illegal filming under the same law, citing insufficient evidence. B has since submitted additional evidence to investigative authorities and requested a supplementary investigation, as well as an investigation into possible additional offenses. A has also reportedly not apologized to B. He stated that he is “gathering materials and discussing the matter with a lawyer.”
