A Korean star has once again found himself in a difficult situation due to controversy surrounding a co-star — this being the third time it’s happened to him.
Lee Je Hoon is set to appear in the SBS drama The Long Shot Trial, scheduled to air next year. The Long Shot Trial is a cheerful and comedic legal detective drama about a ragtag law office led by former lawyer and current office manager Kwon Baek, who turns hopeless battles into winnable fights in unprecedented ways.
The drama has come under scrutiny as Ha Young, who stars alongside Lee Je Hoon, has been embroiled in controversy over claims related to her great-grandfather’s pro-Japanese activities.

On August 11th, an SBS official told Star Today, “A significant portion of The Long Shot Trial has already been filmed, but we ask for your understanding that we cannot disclose the exact amount of filming or the detailed progress at this time.”
Regarding Ha Young’s controversy, the official stated, “We are aware of the issue and are closely monitoring developments. We will provide updates if there is any new information.”
This is not the first time Lee Je Hoon’s projects have faced setbacks. In 2021, during the filming of Taxi Driver, Lee Naeun was involved in a controversy and was replaced by Pyo Ye Jin, with some scenes reshot.
